Insights from our <\/span>Social State of Giving<\/span><\/i><\/a> report revealed that half of Gen Z shares causes or fundraisers at least once a week, and 46% believe that sharing donations inspires others to give. <\/span><\/p>\n

By empowering individuals to easily share their support, nonprofits tapped into a vast network of potential donors, creating a ripple effect of generosity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our research shows that every time an organizer shares their GoFundMe fundraiser, it can help drive an additional $100 toward their goal, on average\u2014underscoring the financial and communal value of leveraging your immediate network, especially via social media. <\/span><\/p>\n

But this amplification doesn\u2019t just raise funds. It builds community, with 41% of Gen Z saying social media content has motivated them to research or donate to a cause<\/strong>. This trend of social media influence extends across generations, as 25% of Millennials and 20% of Gen X also report being inspired by what they see online.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
