When a natural disaster strikes, children, especially those living in poverty, are often hit the hardest. Through Baby2Baby<\/a>\u2019s Disaster Relief and Emergency Response program, the organization provides basic essentials to children impacted by fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and other crisis situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reaching new donors with peer-to-peer fundraising<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In August 2023, wildfires broke out in Maui and devastated the community. Baby2Baby quickly jumped into action, creating a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign<\/a> on GoFundMe Pro, their first time using this campaign type, to raise funds for essential needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team chose to use a peer-to-peer campaign to rally support from its community and reach a wider audience when the stakes were high and time was short. And it was worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were excited to use GoFundMe Pro\u2019s peer-to-peer functionality because it was the first time we had a visual external-facing fundraising goal that we were tracking every day. We also leveraged impact blocks to help donors and fundraisers visualize their efforts and show how far a donation goes.<\/p>\n\n \n
