Hi, my name is Lars Reed and I’m 10 years old. I want to help people because I believe we should take care of one another, especially kids who are struggling.

I’ve been learning about South Sudan, and it’s a country that has been through a lot. Because of that, many children there don’t always have enough food, clean water, or safe places to learn and grow. When I think about kids my age having to live like that, it makes me feel really sad inside, and I want to do something to help.

That’s why I’m raising money for Save the Children, an organization that helps children who are in need around the world, including in South Sudan. They work to make sure kids can be healthy, go to school, and be safe, even in very hard situations.

The money raised will help:

provide food and healthcare for children who need it

support education so kids can learn and have hope for the future

Help Me Give War-Torn Children the Future I Once Dreamed Of

Hi, I’m Damir Hadzalic...born during the Bosnian war, a refugee who fled conflict with my mother and grew up watching her rebuild our lives from nothing. I know firsthand what it means to lose everything... to be displaced, to be afraid, and to rely on the kindness of others to survive.

Today, I’m using my music and my story to give back to those still living through what I escaped. I’ve partnered with Save the Children, an organization that provides lifesaving aid to children affected by war and crisis around the world.

Your support can help in two ways:

Donate directly -Every dollar goes toward providing healthcare, food, and education for children in need.

Stream the music -100% of all streaming proceeds from my humanitarian project War Within go toward the same cause, so even listening helps make a difference.

This mission is deeply personal. I was once one of those children — and now I want to be the reason another child gets a second chance.

I saw this image and couldn’t look away.

A child. A face that should be full of laughter and curiosity — instead marked by hardship no child should ever endure.

In parts of the world, children wake up not knowing if they’ll eat that day. Some survive on whatever they can find — dirt, mud, even things that harm their own bodies — just to quiet the hunger. Not because they want to. Because they have no choice.

And that breaks me.

As a son, and a human being, I can’t ignore it. None of us should.

I’m starting this fundraiser to support Unbound, an organization that works directly with families and communities to provide food security, healthcare access, education, and long-term stability for children living in extreme poverty.

This isn’t about a viral moment.

This isn’t about feeling bad for 30 seconds and scrolling past.

This Giving Tuesday, I’m supporting Save the Children, and I wanted to share why.

While looking for a meaningful cause to contribute to this year, I came across a statistic that genuinely stopped me: nearly 900,000 babies die during labor each year, most from causes that are preventable with basic care. It’s a number that’s easy to overlook until you think about what it really means: lives lost before they begin, families facing heartbreak that shouldn’t have happened.

Save the Children is one of the organizations working directly on the ground to change this. They focus on giving children the essentials that every child should have from the start: safe births, proper nutrition, access to education, and protection in places where life is anything but stable. Their work isn’t abstract. It’s clinics, teachers, food, safety, and support delivered to the children who need it most.
