Meet Ginger, a sweet seven-year-old French Bulldog from California who is facing a painful challenge—with a rectal prolapse. She needs colopexy surgery. Her surgery is estimated to cost $2,500. Paws 4 A Cure is providing a $400 grant, but her mom is trying to raise $2,100 for the remainder of the funds that Ginger needs to move forward with the treatment.
Ginger’s veterinarian is optimistic and believes she will have a good recovery after surgery. Her loving mom has shared their heartfelt story, which you can read—along with more adorable photos and videos—on Ginger’s fundraising page.
You can help make a life-changing difference for Ginger and her family by making a tax-deductible donation toward her veterinary care. Every dollar brings him closer to healing.
If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing her fundraising page helps spread the word and brings us closer to our goal.
Thank you for being a part of Ginger’s journey. Let’s give him the chance she deserves.
“Ginger is a 7 year old dog who became part of our family after being rescued in 2019. She had been dumped by a breeder because she could not have puppies. When I brought her home, I promised she would finally have the love and safety she deserved. Over the years, Ginger has become more than a pet. She is family and has been a loyal, loving companion to me and my two children.
Since becoming a single mom, Ginger has been our emotional support and a constant source of comfort. She has helped our home feel full of love during difficult times and has always been there with unconditional affection.
Ginger is now suffering from a rectal prolapse and urgently needs surgery. Two months ago, our veterinarian was able to place it back inside and stitch it, but we were warned that if it happened again, surgery would be necessary. Sadly, the condition has returned and Ginger now needs emergency surgery so she can live pain free.
Our fundraising goal is $2,100 to cover Ginger’s surgery and medical care. Thanks to a generous $400 grant from Paws 4 A Cure, part of the cost has already been covered. Any support will help give Ginger the treatment she needs and allow her to continue being the loving companion our family cherishes.
Thank you for taking the time to read Ginger’s story and for any support you can give. God Bless.”
