My name is Dylan Andrion, and I serve in ministry with King’s Cathedral & Chapels and For Liberty & Justice. I am based in Maui, Hawaiʻi.
I traveled to Oʻahu to assist with disaster relief efforts following the recent Kona Low storm, joining our King’s Responders teams who were already on the ground mobilizing volunteers and resources. During that time, I personally met Pastor Glenn Duquez and his family, and have been in direct relationship with them as we’ve supported their immediate and ongoing recovery.
Pastor Glenn Duquez, his wife Leilani, their children, and Leilani’s mother, Sister Andres (79), were directly impacted by severe flooding. Just weeks prior, Sister Andres had lost her husband, who had faithfully pastored Jesus Is Alive Fellowship (Hawaii Church of God) for many years. Glenn and Leilani had moved in to help care for her during this time of grief.
During the flood, the family was forced to escape through a window and climb onto their roof, where they remained stranded for hours awaiting rescue. Glenn himself was separated from his family due to road closures and emergency restrictions, unable to reach them during the crisis.
The flood caused significant damage to both their home, including the church parsonage, and the Jesus Is Alive Fellowship church building. Glenn was scheduled to be installed as the new lead pastor in a special service, but that service was unable to take place due to the flood.
Despite this, Glenn has officially stepped into his role as lead pastor and is already faithfully shepherding and serving his congregation in the midst of rebuilding.
Funds raised through this campaign will be used specifically for:
- Immediate cleanup and debris removal for the home/parsonage and church property
- Repairs and rebuilding of the parsonage so the family has a safe place to live
- Restoration of the Jesus Is Alive Fellowship church building so the congregation can gather again
- Replacement of essential household and ministry items lost in the flood
I am personally connected to this family through our shared ministry efforts and have been directly involved in relief work supporting them. I will ensure that all funds are directed toward these stated needs and used with full transparency and accountability.
Mahalo for your support, prayers, and generosity during this time.
