It’s about damn time, I’m running my 2nd marathon…in 3 weeks time!

I finally decided to tackle that tricky 2nd marathon, but as with any big challenge I’ve tried to do something goes wrong. This has been no exception! After a good 2025 and strong start to the running year at Watford Half (and a bit of persuasion from Team GV) I decided to sign up to Flawed Hero. Then I was unwell for pretty much the whole of March which meant I couldn’t do races and long runs planned.

It became something that’s sat in the corner that I’ve been scared to tell people about. Well, no more. In 3 weeks time I’ll be doing it!

The reason is 3 fold:

1. To stop dining out on doing one marathon 12 years ago

2. To raise money for Garden House Hospice who sadly lost a lot of their funding earlier this year, meaning the loss

of a lot of their services

3. On a lighter note, I’m celebrating a big birthday later this year, what a way to celebrate!

Flawed Hero is an inclusive marathon in Letchworth, that starts at midnight on London Marathon Day (Sunday 26th April). It’s going to be interesting, it’s going to be different to anything I’ve ever done. You can read more about it here: https://theflawedhero.com
