Milo needs your help to continue his chemotherapy

Donation protected
Meet Milo, a sweet ten-year-old Basset Hound mix from New York with metastatic pulmonary adenocarcinoma. Milo needs chemotherapy. His veterinary care is estimated to cost $1,622 per treatment. Paws 4 A Cure is providing a $250 grant, but his mom is trying to raise $3,000 for the remainder of the funds that Milo needs to move forward with the treatment.

His loving mom has shared their heartfelt story, which you can read—along with more adorable photos—on Milo’s fundraising page.
You can help make a life-changing difference for Milo and his family by making a tax-deductible donation toward his veterinary care. Every dollar brings him closer to healing.

If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing his fundraising page helps spread the word and brings us closer to our goal.

Thank you for being a part of Milo’s journey. Let’s give him the chance he deserves.

“Milo is 10 years old and has been my constant companion and best friend. I first began noticing subtle changes in him, including differences in his breathing and energy level. Concerned, I brought him to the veterinarian for further evaluation and testing. After diagnostic imaging and additional testing, Milo was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma, a form of lung cancer. Hearing this diagnosis was heartbreaking, but I immediately wanted to do everything possible to help him fight.

Milo has already bravely undergone radiation therapy and is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments at Cornell Animal Hospital under the care of veterinary oncology specialists. Despite everything he has been through, he continues to show incredible resilience and still brings so much love and joy to each day. Milo still needs ongoing chemotherapy treatments, follow-up imaging, and continued monitoring by his veterinary oncology team to manage the cancer and help maintain his quality of life.

Milo came into my life and quickly became far more than a pet. He became my shadow, my comfort, and my best friend, especially during some of my own difficult health struggles when his loyalty and unconditional love meant everything to me. Milo is my best friend, my comfort through life’s hardest moments, and the little soul whose unconditional love has carried me through some of my darkest days.

The fundraising goal is $3,000 to help cover Milo’s remaining chemotherapy treatments and medical care, including the $250 grant from Paws 4 A Cure. Thank you for taking the time to read Milo’s story. Any support, whether through a donation or sharing his story, means more than words can express, and I am deeply grateful for your kindness in helping my sweet boy continue his fight.”
