On Tuesday, July 30, lightning struck a family’s home within our small town and our community is stepping up to help that family. However, during the fire that ensued, four of our firefighters suffered burns and smoke inhalation injuries that sidelined our heroes for at least the next few weeks. We all know that they selflessly did their duty and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again, but the healing process translates into a significant hit to their livelihood (lost wages, unexpected medical expenses). We also know they won’t ask, but they deserve our support. Us fellow neighbors, veterans, law enforcement, and fellow first responders salute our four heroes.

*For transparency, GoFundMe only allows for one beneficiary designation, but this in fact is going to our four firefighters. I am in coordination with all of them as it gets transferred.*

Also note that any donations not used by the four firefighters will go to the Gary Sinese Foundation to help other heroes.
