On March 20–21, this beloved North Shore home was flooded with 4 feet of water or more, leaving devastating damage throughout the entire house. The home will need to be completely gutted, and with the roof also caving in, it now requires a full rebuild and restoration.

We are asking for help for an incredible woman who has given a lifetime of love, service, and strength to her family and community.

In 1965, she and her husband served a full-time mission together before building a life in Hawaii. Her husband helped build homes in Kuilima, hotels in Waikiki, and contributed to the Polynesian Cultural Center—designing canoes, planting the coconut grove, and building bridges that still stand today. He was deeply loved and respected.

After his passing over 40 years ago, she raised six children on her own with unwavering faith, love, and determination—working tirelessly to provide for her family.

Now, as a widow of 40 years, her life continues to reflect Christlike love. She has always found joy in serving others, especially through making leis, and her home has long been a place of warmth, welcome, and aloha.

Despite the heartbreaking loss of two children, her faith has remained strong.

Today, she is facing one of her greatest challenges yet.

This flooding has left her home unlivable, and the road ahead will require extensive repairs, rebuilding, and replacing nearly everything that was lost—walls, flooring, appliances, and more.

She has spent her life lifting others. Now, she truly needs our help.
