2% complete - My name is Khemkham Keonouchan. I've been in Honolulu for about three years. Prior to the 2026 Kona Low storms, I was a laborer in Waialua and I earned my living making lei that we sold across Oahu. When the storms hit, I lost everything. My home was completely flooded and water came up to my chest. I lost 100% of my belongings, including my car - which I relied on for transportation and earning income. At the moment I am staying with a friend while I figure out what to do next and how to get back home to Vientiane, Laos. At the moment I am very overwhelmed and feel trapped. I have no money and no resources. The lack of security and worry about the future is extremely difficult. Because of the loss, I feel that the best decision is to go home and start over in Laos. The money I had before was used to survive and most of it went towards acquiring and maintaining our car. Now that the car is gone, I think it is best to start over and go back to Laos. The funds I raise here will go to immediate emergency support so I can survive. I am down to my last $200 so any support I receive is deeply appreciated. -- This GoFundMe was created by the volunteers from Help Maui Rise for the Storm Kōkua initiative and will directly benefit Khemkham Keonouchan and her bank information was added for her to withdraw directly.

2% complete - Touan Luangrath has been a dedicated farmer for 35 years, with 30 of those years spent nurturing his land in Wahiawa, on the island of Oahu. Farming is not just his livelihood, but his passion and the way he supports his family and contributes to the local community. In March 2026, the Kona Low Storm brought heavy winds and relentless rain to the area, causing severe damage to many farms. For Touan, the storm was devastating—his crops of bittermelon and big eggplant were completely wiped out in the middle of his second of three planned harvests for the year. While Touan is grateful that his farming machinery and home were spared, the loss of his crops has left him facing significant financial hardship. The income from these harvests is essential for covering his living expenses and preparing for the next planting season. Without this support, it will be difficult for him to recover and continue the work he loves. Touan is seeking help from the community to cover urgent and immediate expenses, especially as the island prepares for another storm and this year's hurricane season. He would like to express his heartfelt thanks to anyone who comes across his story. He knows he is one of many you may consider donating to and is grateful for anyone who will even read about him. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing his story, means the world to him and helps bring hope during this challenging time.
